Green World International Group Signed an Agreement with Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences on the Application for China-Africa Joint Laboratory

On the afternoon of June 12th, 2025, Green World International Group and Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences successfully held the signing ceremony for the China-Africa joint laboratory application agreement at the meeting room of the Leisure Agriculture Research Institute. Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, attended the signing ceremony along with Mr. Shaobo Liu, Vice General Manager of China Region, Ms. Qiaoying Liu, Executive Deputy General Manager of Nanjing Branch, and Mr. Yuan Hu, Purchasing Manager of Nanjing Production Base. Ms. Yiyang Yang, Deputy Director of the Leisure Agriculture Research Institute and the leader of the Tea Innovation Team, and ten experts from related fields, including Professor Hongsheng Zhang from the College of Agriculture of Nanjing Agricultural University, Professor Shaohua Yan, former President of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Mr. Jun Tang, Ms. Zhiyi Ai, Mr. Lingfei Ji, the scientific and technological backbone of the Tea Innovation Team of the Leisure Research Institute, attended and witnessed the ceremony together.

The ceremony officially began at 15:00. The two parties first introduced the attendees. The Leisure Agriculture Research Institute of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (hereinafter referred to as "Leisure Agriculture Research Institute") comprehensively presented its development history and organizational structure. As a pioneering institution in the national agricultural academy system dedicated to leisure agriculture research, the Leisure Agriculture Research Institute, since its establishment in 2017, has made several breakthroughs in areas such as the innovation of leisure agriculture germplasm resources and agricultural landscape design, and successfully promoted the transformation of innovation achievements. The representative of Green World International Group detailedly introduced the development history, industrial layout and core technical advantages of the enterprise, focusing on elaborating the application background, construction plan and expected goals of the China-Africa Joint Laboratory, and particularly emphasizing the deep alignment of the group's "small snacks, big health" concept with the Leisure Agriculture Research Institute - through the combination of healthy food research and leisure agriculture, promoting the high value-added transformation of characteristic leisure products.

The joint laboratory will be implemented by taking the "Green World International Uganda Modern Agriculture Cooperation Park" as an important platform, which is the core project for Green World Group's strategic layout in Africa. It was solemnly inaugurated in LUKAYA, Uganda in April this year. As an important carrier of China-Africa agricultural technology cooperation, the joint laboratory will focus on the "China-Uganda Green, Efficient and High-Quality Tea Production ". Led by Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, it will collaborate with Nanjing Agricultural University, Huai'an Chaimihe Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., and be jointly build by the Ugandan National Agricultural Research Organization and Green World International Group.

As the foreign partner of this project and an important regional partner in Africa, Green World International Group, leveraging its rich resource advantages in the Ugandan market, its mature local operation system and outstanding market promotion capabilities, provided comprehensive support to the laboratory. This cooperation not only aimed to enhance the agricultural technology level in Uganda, but also will contribute to improving local people's livelihood and promoting economic development, and will also contribute to strengthening the friendship between the governments and people of China and Uganda.

During the in-depth technical exchange session, both parties reached consensus on issues such as the positioning of the laboratory, research direction, and cooperation mechanism. Then, Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group, and Ms. Yiyang Yang, Deputy Director of the Leisure Agriculture Research Institute and the head of the Tea Innovation Team, solemnly shook hands and jointly signed the joint application agreement for the China-Africa Joint Laboratory, which not only marked the official start of the strategic cooperation between the two parties, but also indicated that China-Africa agricultural technology cooperation was about to enter a brand-new stage of development.

After the signing ceremony was successfully concluded, under the guidance of the staff, the attending guests successively visited several research facilities of the Leisure Agriculture Research Institute, including the tea evaluation room, the health care laboratory and the tea processing workshop. They deeply understood the research facilities and the technical achievements. Through this visit and exchange, the participants gained a more intuitive and in-depth understanding of the research strength and technical achievements of the Leisure Agriculture Research Institute in the tea industry.

This strategically significant cooperation will serve to build a new bridge between Green World International Group and Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the field of China-Africa agricultural science and technology. Both parties were looking forward to jointly promoting agricultural technological innovation and internationalization development, thereby opening up unlimited possibilities for future scientific and technological cooperation.
