On September 10th, 2025, all members of Board of Directors of Green World International Group, including Prof. Deming Li, President of Green World International Group; Mr. David L. Zhang, Vice President of Green World International Group and President of Green World Africa Region; Mr. Peter Li, Vice President of Green World International Group and President of Green World Latin America Region; Mr. Yanguo Chen, Vice President of Green World International Group and President of Green World Eurasia Region; Mr. Shaobo Liu, President of Green World China Region; and Ms. Jenna Li, Board Member, visited Cornell University, experiencing the inspiring academic atmosphere of this world-class institution. All Board members paused in front of the iconic statue of Ezra Cornell, being amazed by the university’s founding principle and spiritual inheritance of “I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study.”.

On the following day, September 11th, at the invitation of Dr. Sander Kersten, Director of the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University, the Board members held an in-depth exchange with him at the division’s conference room. The Group and Cornell University achieved the first face-to-face in-depth exchange thanks to the academic connection established by Prof. Deming Li—Cornell Ph.D. graduate and distinguished alumna—and the bridging role of Ms. Jenna Li, who is currently pursuing advanced studies at Cornell University.

The Division of Nutritional Sciences in Cornell University has long been recognized as a global leader in the field. As one of the earliest, largest, and most influential nutrition science research institutions globally, it remains a pivotal academic center in global nutrition and public health today. With a profound accumulation and international reputation in nutrition-related studies, its research has not only laid critical foundations for the academic community but has also provided vital insights for global public health policies and industry development.
During the meeting, Dr. Kersten introduced the division’s major research fields, including maternal and infant nutrition; nutrition and metabolic health (covering obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases); nutrition, public health and health equity; as well as the emerging field of precision nutrition and health. He highlighted that these  projects with decades of research accumulation provided significant opportunities for future academic and industrial collaboration.
Mr. David L. Zhang, on behalf of Green World International Group, reviewed the Group’s 31-year development and globalization layout. Subsequently, Prof. Deming Li, as an alumna, expressed her delight at returning to her alma mater and emphasized that the Board’s visit to the U.S. aimed to deepen collaboration with world-class universities and research institutes, so as to infuse the Group’s products with greater scientific and technological value, thereby providing more precise nutritional solutions for consumers worldwide.
Dr. Kersten highly praised Green World’s branches across 69 countries and its large consumer base which provided advantaged conditions for the translation and application of research outcomes. He noted that Cornell’s Division of Nutritional Sciences, with its diverse research teams and open attitude towards cooperation, could engage in customized projects aligned with the Group’s needs.
Through thorough discussions, both sides reached a preliminary consensus on potential collaboration, such as joint research projects, co-establishment of laboratories, and exploratory studies in emerging fields. Prof. Deming Li and Ms. Jenna Li both emphasized that Green World expected to build a long-term, stable, and multi-dimensional partnership with Cornell University. This vision was also in line with Dr. Kersten’s original intention.
Following the meeting, Dr. Kersten personally led the Board members on a tour of the laboratories of the Division of Nutritional Sciences. The advanced facilities and strong research capacity left a deep impression on all members, reaffirming Cornell’s global leadership in the field of nutrition science.

The meeting concluded in a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Both sides agreed that the collaboration would not only enhance Green World’s research capabilities and product value but also help extend Cornell University’s scientific achievements to a broader population. Most importantly, they were with the shared vision—improving global nutrition and healthy level, and enhancing human well-being, which served as the driving force of this exchange. The partnership between Green World and Cornell is poised to become a model of academia-industry integration, injecting new momentum into the advancement of global nutrition and health.
